They provide parents and teachers with one of the best tools to measure students’ development in a subject and can provide valuable insight into how students are progressing towards college- and career-readiness. A group of teachers in Plainfield, Illinois went the extra mile to get their students excited about showing off what they’ve learned in preparation for this year’s assessments. “PARCC Testing Magic” plays off Bruno Mars’ hit song “24K Magic” and is more evidence of how high standards and high-quality assessments can promote creativity in the classroom.
